Yıldırım Şimşek is known as one of Turkey's most prominent DJs. He began his music career in 1999 by producing his first remix, and until 2006, he created numerous tracks that started being played in many radio stations and clubs across Turkey. Later on, he shifted his focus to performance DJing, favoring genres like Dinner Afro house, tech house, dance, and melodic techno.
Throughout his music career, Yıldırım Şimşek has marked his presence with numerous significant performances both in Europe and Turkey. He has participated in some of Turkey's biggest festivals and events and showcased his talents in various nightclubs across cities like Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, and Bodrum. Additionally, he has performed in venues such as D-Maris Bay, Zuma, Collesium, Ill Ricco, and Nusr-et. In Europe, he has graced stages in venues like Velvet in Frankfurt, Doom in Amsterdam, and Villa Magna in Madrid.
Aside from his music endeavors, Yıldırım Şimşek has been involved in various projects outside the music industry, including advertising campaigns and fashion events. He has also bridged the gap between sports and music by preparing music sets for fitness events and sports clubs and delivering live performances that integrate art and music. His graduation from Gazi University's Department of Physical Education and Sports has provided him with an opportunity to build a connection between sports and music.
Yıldırım Şimşek's EPs "Orange" and "Hello," released under the 48 Record label, garnered attention in the summer of 2022. These two EPs, characterized by Şimşek's production skills and musical talent, received great acclaim, particularly among electronic music enthusiasts. Following these EPs, his remix of Yağmur Güvendik's "Zaman," in collaboration with Turkish DJ and producer Serkan Türkoğlu, also made a significant impact, becoming one of the most played and listened-to tracks on many radio stations and in nightclubs. Additionally, his collaboration with English vocalist Leah.O on the track "Hold On Me (Club Mix)" gained recognition, securing a spot on BBC's most listened-to track list.
